Organizational Structures: Development Drivers of Your Business?

An organizational structure should be a tool to achieve the objectives that a company sets .
In changing environments , organizational structures are those that must adapt to the reality of the business , and we should not try to be the business that suits the organizational structures that are no longer functional .
This seems so basic and simple, does not always operate in business.
Many times , areas of Human Resources , which operate " by the book " without having proximity with the reality that the business requires , try to force the operations to work in an non viable way  for an actual context .
So many times, indicators or objectives of these areas, have become outdated and no longer accompany the evolution of the business, however remaining unchanged, ending up hindering development.
Is the current role of a manager in your business today the same as a few years ago?
Should be defined the need to incorporate a Manager depending on the number of people who must manage or by the size of the business to be managed by her?
Do you keep valid the concept of "Span of Control" or it's time to reflect and redefine it?
Adaptive Organizations understand that markets evolve and it is no longer possible to remain wedded to worn ideas to manage the business environment for the new century.
If you want your business to thrive , make sure everyone in your organization are close to the business , the market, your customers , and there are no areas that manage objectives and indicators that do not join your business growth needs .
The areas of Human Resources , are more than ever key in this evolutionary process. Make sure your ideas are current and do not try to run a XXI century business with ideas of the last century.

On the concept of Span Of Control , I found this excellent article by Mike Myatt ( @ mikemyatt ) which I found very interesting.
